Starting up this one was a hassle because I had a wordpress account then had to start a new blog because you have to pay to change stuff in wordpress :(
My first experiment I used firebug and wanted to change only the small links so this is what I did...
I added a to dotted line and an underline to all of the time links aswell as have them change color:
Experiment 2:
Then I started to get a little funkier with the bigger headlines and such,

Experiement 3: Adding the large elements and seperate colors to the small links.
